Arturo Vidal Fit for Crucial Bayern Munich Clash With Borussia Dortmund

Arturo Vidal has been given the all clear to play in Der Klassiker as Bayern Munich host Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

The Chilean international missed the 5-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb due to a knee problem, but took part in Friday's first-team training session.

Pep Guardiola confirmed in his press conference that Vidal "trained well" and will be ready to face Dortmund.

“Everybody wants to watch the game. Dortmund v Bayern Munich is always special,” said Guardiola to Bayern's official website. “We're ready to give our best.”

The game sees the only two unbeaten teams in the division face off and Bayern could not only equal their own record for the best-ever start to a campaign, but also extend their lead to seven points.

However, the Bayern coach said it would be stupid to suggest the championship race could be over at this stage of the season.

“It's not a final, only three points. It's October. It will take a long time until a team wraps up the German championship title,” the Spaniard said.

In further team news, Sebastian Rode will be sidelined for the champions against Borussia. The midfielder misses out due to tendon problems in his thigh.
